It's hard to believe that the 2022 holiday season is right around the corner, and we're already preparing for our annual MLBS holiday party! We're looking forward to a fun, lively evening full of socializing with our bead buddies, sampling delicious creations made by all, and of course playing our MLBS favorite holiday gift swap game.
Mark your calendars now! Since our regular meeting date is just too close to the holiday season and conflicts with family and religious celebrations, our party will be held on Tuesday, December 6th, from 6:30 to 9:15 PM. (There will not be a meeting on December 20th.)
Our party format will be the same as prior years. Members are asked to bring a dish to share - dessert (last name begins with A-M) or an appetizer-type dish (last name begins with N-Z). A sheet for members to sign up for food was passed around at our October meeting, and the committee will pass it around again at our November meeting. MLBS will provide all paper goods (bowls, plates, cups, napkins as well as plastic tablecloths and eating utensils). A case of bottled water will also be provided. If members would prefer other beverages, please feel free to bring drinks that you prefer.
Our famous (or infamous) swap game is on again this year, where each member brings a wrapped, new beading-related gift valued at $25 to the party, and participants unwrap or swap gifts in a fun and often funny gift exchange. Gifts can be a new kit, beading book, new beading tools, beading light, gift card to one of our supporting local bead shops, etc.
We look forward to seeing everyone at this year's party!
