Hello Beaders!
This month's project is a very timely “Harvest Moon” theme. In this seasonal inspired offering, participants will work with clay that is blended, creating swirl effects, and utilize cutters and molds to create shapes and embellishments. Members will sculpt simple forms by hand, giving their piece a truly one of a kind look! Details are accented in powders and pigments. The cured/finished piece will be ready to wear home!
People will work on a round pendant, in colored swirly clay. There will be three embellishment options that go from spookier to more autumnal (as illustrated in the picture above). Something for everyone! We will be using colored clay and pigment powders to create our pendants with a bake/cure at the end so we will leave with our finished pieces ready to wear.
This project will also lend itself to socializing….and shopping! Jenny will be bringing trays of her finished creations for us to admire and purchase. Perhaps we can do some early holiday shopping.
MLBS will subsidize the major portion of the cost of the class and supplies. Member cost will only be $10 for this class, including all supplies.
We will also hold elections for new board members, Treasurer and Secretary.
