June 2022 Monthly Meeting - Beaded Stretch Bangle

Hello Beaders!

We have been busy this spring with monthly programs, subsidized classes, and informal gatherings. It has been wonderful seeing so many friends, both familiar and new. In June, we will welcome back our favorite Mary Soucy of Bead Me a Story to help us make the sleek and fashionable Beaded Stretch Bangle. 

This 4-in-1 European chain maille bracelet is fun and easy, and the rubber O-rings make the bangles stretchy and stackable. Kits will be available in multiple sizes, and we will discuss the variety of bead sizes that can be used..

The class and first kit is free of charge for members! (Guests pay $5 for the meeting plus the price of the kit.) There will be additional bangle kits available for purchase for $12-17, and Mary will also have a mini trunk show with a variety of beaded kits.

Participants should bring two pairs of pliers appropriate for chain maille (flat, chain, chisel and/or bent nose). There will also be some extra tools available for you to borrow or purchase, if needed. Please also bring a magnifier and light if you need them to see small objects.

Remember:  Throughout the rest of 2022, all active members whose dues are up to date are welcome to participate in all of our member meeting projects for FREE!  MLBS will pay the cost of member meeting program classes through the end of 2022. So instead of costing $60, this class, including all materials, will be FREE!
