August 2021 Monthly Meeting - Triple Wrap Bracelet

Hello Beaders!

We are excited to bring you a truly unique project for August - a triple wrap bracelet designed by Amy Haftkowycz of Trixie's Jewel Box. This beautiful and fashionable bracelet is all the rage right now! Each kit is different, and the random mix of beads results in a one-of-a-kind piece. You will have the option of either a 6mm bead kit or a 4mm bead kit. The bronze metal-clay button and shank components are handcrafted as well. And just by switching out the beads, you can create a wide variety of looks from this simple concept! If you want to raid your own stash, you have the option to purchase just the pattern.

Each kit features a mix of Czech glass melon beads, druk beads, and fire polished beads, as well as bronze cube beads. The Czech glass beads come in a premixed bag. This is a "whatever happens, happens!" project - just pick up the bead that jumps on the needle for each stitch and run with it! Randomly working in the metal beads adds yet another layer of depth and texture. The closure is a unique handcrafted fold-over arrangement - different than the majority of simple button closures you see on wrap bracelets!

The button and ring in this kit are handcrafted by the designer from bronze metal clay. Note that each button and ring is handmade and therefore expect variation from kit to kit.

The skill level for this project is advanced beginner, assuming a working knowledge of weaving in/tying off thread.
