Hello Beaders! We have really missed our bead buddies! Members have been asking when we can begin to safely meet again.  So MLBS is excited to announce a plan to allow us to gather safely. We will be holding our regular monthly meeting on October 20, this time at a different location. Nicole McLean has graciously arranged for us to meet at her church, Liberti Church in Newtown Square. This large space has the capacity for over 100 people so that up to 25 MLBS participants can safely gather, with enough room and large tables to be safely distant from each other. (photo below)

All safety precautions must be exercised, including wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and limiting attendance to 20 in accordance with CDC guidelines. We believe that taking these precautions will allow beaders to feel safe enough to gather once again.  Of course if you're not feeling well, we ask that you please stay home.

Wire-wrapped Cluster Necklace Project - One of our favorite instructors, Liz Coates, will be returning to teach us how to make a beautiful and elegant Wire-wrapped Cluster Necklace. Students will learn how to wire wrap beads using several wire-wrapping techniques, creating a cluster of pieces to add to a chain to make a stunning, long necklace valued between $50 and $60.

The $25 kit includes copper wire, base metal chain in copper, pewter, antique silver, or gold-plated silver, jump rings, head pins, 10-14 crystals and glass beads, 1 large focal bead, and a variety of extra beads to use during class.

Students should bring any pliers they have, as well as wire cutters and a bead mat. Liz will have extra tools available to borrow.

The meeting will be held in the building behind the sanctuary, so use the rear entrance off the parking lot. The parking lot is also in the rear. The meeting room is to the left after you enter the building.
