September Monthly Meeting

It's time to get your inner Jackie Kennedy on and create your own double-strand pearl necklace! Our own Tina Freels of The Bead Garden is coming to teach us how to make this stunning piece.

The class and kit will be $30 and will include pearls (two 6mm strands) in a variety of colors, 11/0 seed beads, twist crimps, beading wire, double-strand clasp, and written instructions. Members need to bring flat nose/chain pliers, flush cutters, hole-poking tool (i.e, an awl), bead mat, and lighting/magnification, if needed. Tina will also be bringing a trunk show, so bring some extra cash!

It's also time to do a little fall cleaning in your craft room! Please bring whatever things in your stash you no longer need or wonder why you bought in the first place (unopened kits, strands or tubes of beads, beading books, tools) to the September meeting. We will be having a silent auction at the October meeting with all proceeds to benefit MLBS for future programs.
