Main Line Bead Society Event Cancellation/Refund Policy

The general guidelines governing cancellation and refunds for Main Line Bead Society Events (including all member meeting programs, any MLBS workshops, events or retreats for members only or open to the public) are outlined below.  All events are dependent on minimum enrollment and members/participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to abide by this policy as a condition of registration. Events are offered to members of the Main Line Bead Society and from time to time to other organizations and the general public as specified in individual event invitations.

Registration  - Members/participants will not be considered registered for an event until a registration form is completed and payment in full is made. All payments will be deposited when received and all registered/paid participants will receive a confirmation email.

Cancellation/Refunds -  For MLBS members, a full credit will be held in their account to be used against future events and for non-MLBS members, payments will be refunded in full if the event is cancelled/postponed by MLBS. If an event is rescheduled, non-MLBS participants who cannot attend on the rescheduled date will be given a full refund and MLBS members will have the full amount credited to their account to use toward future events. Refunds will be given as long as non-MLBS participants inform the Program Director of their wish to cancel up to two weeks prior to the event date. The registration fee will be refunded minus a processing fee of $5 for events up to/including $75 in event registration fees; $10 for events over $75 and up to/including $150 in event registration fees and for event registration fees over $150, the processing fee is $15.  For MLBS members, the refund amount will be held in their account to use as a credit toward a future event. (MLBS reserves the right to amend the processing fee for events with significantly higher registration costs. The amended processing fee will be clearly spelled out in the event registration information.)  

There is no penalty for cancellation one week before a scheduled event if the event is filled and the space can be filled by someone on a waiting list.

Except in the above cases, there will be no refunds for event registrations from the Bead Society. A person who needs to cancel may send someone in their place to participate in the event, or they may sell their place in the event to someone else. If they can’t arrange this, the person will receive any event materials they would have been entitled to as an event participant by notifying a Board member and making arrangements to pickup the kit/materials at a regular meeting no later than 60 days following the event. After that time frame, the kit will become the property of MLBS.  MLBS will not be responsible for mailing kits or materials.
